Summary
Ida Packard is a Senior Project Coordinator within the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Center for Excellence in Disabilities (NCED). She is a licensed educator, certified to teach in the elementary (K-8) setting, and is the Principal Investigator on the Education Training and Technical Support Project funded by the Office of Inclusive Education (OIE) at the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Department of Education (NDE). Ida has worked on the Education Training and Technical Support Project and other NCED and NDE projects in various roles since 2001 and has received over $10 million in external funding in her tenure at the NCED.
The Education Training and Technical Support Project was established at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, to coordinate training and technical support on research-based school improvement efforts to support the Office of Inclusive Education’s commitment to ensuring that ALL students in ÁùºÏ±¦µä are college and career-ready upon exit from the public school system, with a focus on meeting the unique educational needs of and services to students with disabilities receiving special education services in ÁùºÏ±¦µä. The goal of the OIE and this project is to promote educational success through increased academic rigor; use of evidence-based practices; providing sustained professional development for administrators, teachers, and staff; providing technical assistance in data-based decision making and building meaningful partnerships with districts, schools and parents.
