Child & Family Research Center (CFRC)
The Child & Family Research Center provides early childhood care and education to children from ages 6 weeks to 6 years. This service is offered to University students, faculty and staff, and families who meet the annual federal poverty guidelines for the Early Head Start Program. Students must be enrolled in at least six credits with a degree program, faculty and classified staff must work at least .50 FTE.
Computer Lab
The COEHD Computer Lab is a general use lab located on the first floor of the William Raggio Building in room 1006 on the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno Campus. The lab features 60 Dell PC workstations with most contemporary software applications such as MS Office, Adobe CS5, SPSS and QuickTime; several workstations have Camtasia Studio, Inspiration, and Windows Live Movie Maker as well.
Learning Resource Center (LRC)
The function of the Nell J. Redfield Learning Resource Center is to provide a variety of resources to educators, university students, teachers, and counselors. The services provided include instructional support and curriculum enrichment. Students and faculty at the university, as well as teachers, administrators, and counselors in surrounding school districts, are invited to use the center's resources.
The Downing Counseling Clinic
The Downing Counseling Clinic is a training center for graduate counseling students. The clinic is a part of the Counseling and Educational Psychology Program at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno. The clinic is dedicated to providing individual, couples, family, and child counseling for the community as well as to ÁùºÏ±¦µä System of Higher Education (NSHE) students.
FIT2Care
FIT2Care is the College of Education & Human Development's ÁùºÏ±¦µäFIT program, a five-day academic "bootcamp" that offers incoming freshmen a glimpse into the University's rigorous academic expectations and college life prior to the start of the semester.
Student Clubs
Student clubs are an integral part of the College of Education & Human Development. These student-led groups organize campus events, coordinate speakers or other professionalization activities, help develop some college-wide policies and develop outreach activities. These groups are a great way to meet other professionals and develop lifelong ties that have many benefits to your career.
