Commuter permits go on sale on Monday, July 1, 2024. Resident hall permits go on sale on Monday, July 22, 2024. Space is limited. Get the permit most convenient for you by researching your options and purchasing your permit as soon as possible.

Permit parking areas require proper permits to be displayed Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., throughout the entire year, unless otherwise specified. Parking areas designed as "enforced 24 hours per day, 7 days per week" require that an authorized permit be displayed at all times. These areas include, but are not limited to, Yellow and Orange zones.
No overnight parking is allowed except in authorized areas for University on-campus residents with proper permit.
Vehicles may be parked in Blue 1, Green and Tan zones without a permit during the week prior to the fall and spring semesters to allow students, faculty and staff time to purchase an annual parking permit. There are no grace periods for any Silver, Yellow or Orange zones or any parking meter, PayByPhone or permit dispenser spaces.

How to get your permit

Step 1: Activate your NetID.

To use the online system, you must have an activated NetID. This is not your NSHE ID #. When accessing the activation site, please allow 24 hours after account activation before our system will recognize your NetID and password.

Step 2: Log into the Parking Portal with your NetID to purchase a permit.

University of ��ϱ��, Reno at Lake Tahoe

The University of ��ϱ��, Reno at Lake Tahoe’s parking system is based on a zoned parking system. Currently, all parking lots are designated as a Blue 1 parking zone and a Blue 1 parking permit is required to park on campus. Additionally, Blue 1 Lake Tahoe permits are valid on the main campus in the same Blue 1 parking zone. Conversely, all valid main campus parking permits may be utilized on the Lake Tahoe campus in all Blue 1 zones (excluding reserved or metered spaces).
