The campus bicycle map is a map of the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno main campus showing all of the buildings and the transportation routes (pathways and roadways) on campus and the roads surrounding the main campus: Virginia St. to the west, McCarran Blvd. to the north, Evans Ave. to the east and Ninth St. to the south. There is also a detail section showing the University buildings on Valley Rd.
The map legend includes the following:
- Bike lanes
- Shared use paths for both bikes and pedestrians
- Walk zone only paths
- Bicycle rack locations
- Tire inflation stations
- Bicycle locker locations
- Bicycle repair station
- Construction areas where access may be limited

Bike lanes
The bike lanes around campus are located on the west side of Virginia St., the north and south sides of McCarran Blvd., and the east side of Evans Ave. from Jodi Way south to the top of the bend in the road just before the intersection with Record St. and then starting at the north part of Evans Ave. from Ninth St. heading south across I-80 where the map ends.
Shared use paths for both bikes and pedestrians, and Walk zone only paths
Almost all of the routes through campus and at the Valley road buildings are shared use for bikes and pedestrians, with two areas of exception that are designated as walk zones. The walk zones include:
- All of the sidewalk areas in front (west) of the Joe Crowley Student Union and the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center and south to the William J. Raggio Building. The walk zone ends just about where the large staircase to the National Judicial College meets the sidewalk at the north end of the Raggio building.
- The Hilliard Plaza. The walk zone extends from the north-east main entrance of the University Arts building, along the north end the Hilliard Plaza, and along the Plaza paths in front of the Schulich Lecture Hall and the Mack Social Science building until the pathways tee into the paved area in front of the Ansari Business Building at the south end of Hilliard Plaza.

Parking Zones
Yellow
There are a total of two different yellow parking zones. Yellow 1 consists of 4 parking areas. One is located in the Sierra Street Parking Complex next to Canada Hall and ÁùºÏ±¦µä Living Learning Community. The second Yellow 1 area is the parking garage at Sierra Hall. The third area is in the parking lot on the southwest corner of Sierra Street and 11th Street. Lastly, the fourth Yellow 1 area is the top floor of the Brian Whalen Parking Complex, located southeast of North Virginia Street and 15th Street. Yellow 2 is located next to Ponderosa Village off of Evans Ave.
Silver
There are a total of 15 different silver parking zones.
- There is no Silver 1 parking.
- Silver 2 is located between Mackay Science, Orvis Building, Fleischmann Agriculture, and Sarah H. Fleischmann Building.
- Silver 3 is located around Facilities Services and its annex.
- There are no Silver 4, 5 or 6 parking locations.
- Silver 7 is located at the corner of Sierra Street and 11th Street.
- Silver 8 is located between the Utility Plant and Scrugham Engineering / Mines as well as just north of Harry Reid Engineering Laboratory.
- Silver 9 is located between Edmund J. Cain Hall and the National Judicial College.
- Silver 10 has multiple parking lots - directly north of the Pennington Annex, around the Family Medicine Center, south and east of the ÁùºÏ±¦µä State Health Laboratory, just west of the Anderson Health Sciences building, west of the Center for Molecular Medicine, east of the Howard Medical Sciences building, and the large parking lot north of William N. Pennington Health Sciences.
- Silver 11 is parking for the Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex.
- Silver 12 has three parking lots with one on the corner of Evans Avenue and Record Street, one just north of that on the east side of Evans Avenue, and one on the west side of Evans Avenue just south of the William Pennington Engineering Building.
- Silver 13 is located just south of Lombardi Recreation Center.
- Silver 14 has multiple parking lots located around the Applied Research Facility.
- There is no Silver 15 parking.
- Silver 16 is located between Lawlor Event Center and Legacy Hall as well as just south of the Sports Medicine Complex and west of the John Sala Intramural Practice Fields.
- Silver 17 is located in the West Stadium Parking Complex as well as just south of the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Historical Society.
- Silver 18 is reserved for Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) permits. This zone is located on the corner of 11th Street and North Virginia Street.
- Silver 19 is off Valley Road next to the Knudtsen Resource Center.
- There is no Silver 20 parking location.
- Silver 21 is parking for the Gateway Parking Complex, which is location on 9th Street and Lake Street.
Tan
There are two Tan parking lots on the map. One is located north of Mackay Stadium and the other is located north of the Center for Molecular Medicine.
Orange
There is one Orange parking lot on the map. It is located southeast of the John Sala Intramural Practice Fields.
Green
There are multiple Green parking lots on the map. They are all located in the northwest corner of the map. Starting with the southern-most lot: west of the Computing Center, north and northwest of the Environmental Research Facility, around and north of Central Services.
Blue 1
There are three Blue 1 parking lots on the map: In the very northwest corner of the map, next to the Child Care Facility and around William Peccole Park.
Blue 2
Blue 2 parking is located off Valley Road, south of the Equestrian Center and next to the Agricultural Education building.
Pink
Pink is metered parking and is located in various spots around campus:
- North of the Continuing Education Building
- South of Manzanita Hall
- South of Morrill Hall
- South and east of Fleischmann Agriculture
- Northwest of the Sierra Street Parking Complex
- North of Church Fine Arts
- North of the National Judicial College
- Northeast of Lombardi Recreation Center

Private and State parking
Various lots around campus are for private and state parking:

EX Long Term
EX Long Term is long term parking for vehicles with exempt State license plates and EX Long Term permit is required. This area is located on the north end of campus, just south of McCarran Blvd. between the Green parking lot and the State parking north of the FMS Receiving Warehouse.
Purple
Purple notes a drop-off zone that is located just south of Lawlor Events Center.
Electric vehicle charging station
There are three locations for electric vehicle charging stations. One is located on level 3 in the Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex, the second one is on level 3 in the West Stadium Parking Complex, and the third station is on level 4 of the Gateway Parking Complex.
Carpool parking
There are a total of four carpool reserved areas on campus:
- The Silver 17 zone in the West Stadium Parking Complex, third floor
- The Silver 11 zone in the Brian J Whalen Parking Complex, second floor
- The Green 1 zone in the parking lot located on the southwest corner of 17th Street and West Stadium Way.
- The Silver 21 zone in the Gateway Parking Complex, fourth floor.
Paid parking permit dispenser or pay by phone
There are multiple paid lots on campus with permit dispensers or pay by phone options:
- Level 1 of Gateway Parking Complex
- South of Morrill Hall
- Level 1 In Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex

Gate access
Gates are located in eight locations on campus to restrict vehicular access to authorized vehicles only:
- West Stadium Way on the north and south end of the roadway between Mackay Stadium and the West Stadium Parking Complex
- The turn around at the Fleischmann Planetarium, just north of the Parking and Transportation Services Building
- At the southbound turn from the roundabout at 15th Street by E. L. Wiegand Fitness Center
- As the roadway immediately east of the Brian J Whalen bottom floor exit
- At the bottom floor entrance/exit of the Brian J Whalen Parking Complex
- At the south end of the roadway between Church Fine Arts and University Arts Buildings
- Northeast of Clark Administration, between Frandsen Humanities and Jones Center
- Southeast of Clark Administration
- At the pavers located between Palmer Engineering and Davidson Mathematics and Science Center

- Begin across from bus station on Enterprise Road, north of Center for Molecular Medicine, and head east to intersection with South Medical Way. Turn south on South Medical Way and follow sidewalk along edge to south entry of Center for Molecular Medicine.
- Begin at south entry of Center for Molecular Medicine and head south along roundabout sidewalk. Continue along the east side of grass field, alongside Howard Medical Sciences. Turn west and head between Howard Medical Sciences and Pennington Medical Education. Continue along south side of Savitt Medical Sciences until path turns north at intersection of 17th Street and East Stadium Way. Turn North along Anderson Health Sciences, path ends at ADA Parking location east of Center for Molecular Medicine.
- Begin at southwest corner of intersection at 17th Street and East Stadium Way. Head west along south side of 17th Street to intersection of 17th Street and West Stadium Way. Turn south at West Stadium Way and head along east side of the road. At about 500 feet is an alternate ticketed ADA entrance for some events used at Mackay Stadium. At this location, cross West Stadium way and follow the sidewalk to ADA Parking at West Stadium Parking Complex.
- Begin at northeast ticketed entrance to Mackay Stadium and head up the ADA access ramp to the north. Follow the sidewalk along the south side of the parking lot, halfway along will be ADA Parking. Continue past the ADA parking into the Jensen Plaza ticketed entrance.
- Begin at south, first floor exit of West Stadium Parking Complex and head south. Enter the ADA access ramp to the east before Legacy Hall. At the end of the ramp cross West Stadium Way to the path along the east side of the road. Continue through the plaza in front of Marguerite W. Petersen Athletic Academic Center and head east along Stadium Way in front of Cashell Fieldhouse. Cross Stadium Way at Lombardi Recreation Center cross-walk and follow sidewalk south toward north entrance at the Joe Crowley Student Union.
- Begin at southwest, first floor entrance to Lawlor Event Center and head east along north side of East 15th Street until crossing West Stadium Way to east side of cross-walk. Path intersection occurs here. Head east to south entrance at Joe Crowley Student Union and north entrance at Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. Head south at intersection to east entrance at E.L. Wiegand Fitness Center. Continue south along east side of Stadium Way to an intersection across Stadium Way from north entrance at Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex. - Begin at south, third floor entrance to Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center and head south along sidewalk past National Judicial College. Turn east at William Raggio Building and follow sidewalk to path between William Raggio Building and Edmund J. Cain Hall. Continue along path to roundabout and ADA drop-off zone.
- Begin at path intersection in front of William Raggio Building and head across Stadium Way to west side of road. Head south between Church Fine Arts and University Arts Building. Continue along sidewalk until path intersection at north corner of Great Basin Hall. Continue south to South Campus between Pennington Student Achievement Center and Lincoln Hall. Just after Lincoln Hall is a pathway intersection, continue south between Jot Travis Building and Thompson Building to access corridor between Ross Hall and Frandsen Humanities.
- Begin at path intersection in front of William Raggio Building and directly south between Reynolds School of Journalism and University Arts Building. Continue south along rear of Mack Social Science to large path intersection north of Pennington Student Achievement Center. Head east to north entrance at Ansari Business Building. Continue south between Ansari Business Building and Pennington Student Achievement Center until rounded path intersection directly west of Mackay Mines. Head west to join path between Lincoln Hall and Pennington Student Achievement Center. Head east to access path to Quad area of Campus.
- Begin at path intersection in front of William Raggio Building and south east along east side of Reynolds School of Journalism. Follow path south between Schulich Lecture Hall and Mack Social Science until path reaches north entrance at Ansari Business Building.
- Begin at north entrance to Nye Hall and head east. A path directly from south entrance at Canada Hall will join this path just before the ramp begins for the pedestrian walkway across North Virginia Street. Head north east along sidewalk, avoiding the access ramp to pedestrian bridge. Continue north along west side of North Virginia Street until joined by path from south entrance at ÁùºÏ±¦µä Living Learning Community. Continue north to intersection of College Drive and North Virginia Street and cross North Virginia Street to east side of road. Path intersection occurs here. Head north to west entrance of Church Fine Arts and path loop around Virginia Street Gym. Virginia Street Gym path loop has a branch that crosses parking lot access road to connect to path between Great Basin Hall and Pennington Student Achievement Center. Head south from path intersection along east side of North Virginia Street and west side of Great Basin Hall as path wraps around the south end of Great Basin Hall. Follow the path east to cross the path that travels between Pennington Student Achievement Center and Lincoln Hall. Continue east from this crossing to access south entrance to Ansari Business Building and Quad area of Campus.
- Begin at south entrance at Ansari Business Building, head south to Quad area of Campus. Can access path on both sides of Mackay Mines.
- Quad area of Campus has accessible paths along all sides.
- Begin at west entrance at Jones Center and head north between Ross Hall and Frandsen Humanities. Turn east around Ross Hall and continue to Quad area of Campus.
- Begin at ADA Parking across access road from Clark Administration and head east along sidewalk to Quad are of Campus.
- Begin at south entrance at Argenta Hall and head east along north side of Artemisia Way to North Virginia Street. Can cross North Virginia Street at both cross-walks to access ADA Parking at Jot Travis Building. Path heads south along west side of road to 10th Street. Turn west to access south entrance at Sierra Hall.
- Begin at north entrance at Peavine Hall. Head east along 11th Street to join path at North Virginia Street.
- Begin at west entrance at Jot Travis Building and head south. Pathway intersection occurs after 50 feet. Can head east along north edge of Manzanita Lake to access west entrance at Frandsen Humanities. Path continues south from intersection along west edge of Manzanita Lake to south entrance of Manzanita Hall.
- Begin at south entrance at Scrugham Engineering/Mines and head south between Palmer engineering and Paul Laxalt Mineral Engineering. Path intersection occurs between Davidson Mathematics & Science Center and Paul Laxalt Mineral Engineering. Can access ADA Parking behind Palmer Engineering through path between Palmer Engineering and Davidson Mathematics & Science Center. Continue south from intersection between Paul Laxalt Mineral Research and Davidson Mathematics & Science Center to next intersection between Davidson Mathematics & Science Center and Life Science building. Can head east to ADA Parking and access road east of Life Science building. Continue south from intersection between Orvis Building and Life Science building to west entrance at Fleischmann Agriculture.

The campus cart, bike, and skateboard access map is a map of the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno main campus showing all of the buildings, approved bike, cart, and skateboard paths, as well as dismount zones on campus and the roads surrounding the main campus: Virginia St. to the west, McCarran Blvd. to the north, Evans Ave. to the east and Ninth St. to the south. There is also a detail section showing the University buildings on Valley Rd.
The map legend includes the following parking zones:

Preferred path
The preferred path for campus carts, bikes, and skateboards starts between the Virginia Street Gym and Great Basin Hall and moves north between Church Fine Arts and the University Arts Building. It continues to follow this road up between Brian J. Whalen Parking Complex and Mathewson - IGT Knowledge Center where it finally ends at the roundabout just outside Joe Crowley Student Union.
Approved path
Starting at the south end of the map there two areas that start the approved path. Just south and west of Fleischmann Agriculture. One moves east and then north and goes fully around Davidson Mathematics & Science Center and then comes back together and moves north again past Palmer Engineering and then to the west of Harry Reid Engineering Laboratory where it goes east and ends between Facilities Services and the Facilities Services Annex. The second path moves north from Fleischmann Agriculture and comes to a 'T' with on path continuing north and ending just south of Paul Laxalt Mineral Research and the other moving west before cutting north by Clark Administration and it continues north before coming a second 'T' where it cuts east just north of Ansari Business Building where it meets up with the first path. The other path continues north before jogging to the northeast and going around the roundabout just south of Mathewson - IGT Knowledge Center and moving more east coming to final 'T'. One path ends at Evans Avenue with the second moving north and ending at the Applied Research Facility.
There is another path that creates a 'C' shape around Edmund J. Cain Hall.
Moving further north the paths get more complex. The path resumes between Lawlor Event Center and E. L. Wiegand Fitness Center where it moves east and then north covering all roads where it V's just south of Marguerite W. Petersen Athletic Academic Center. One path moves north between the West Stadium Parking Complex and Mackay Stadium before reaching a crossroads where one path moves west and ends at North Virginia Street, one path continues north ending near FMS Receiving Warehouse, and one path moves east where it meets with the other side of the path near the Family Medicine Center. The second section the V moves northeast where it comes to a crossroad. One path moves south and hooks around Lombardi Recreation Center where it then terminates. One path continues northeast where it circles William Peccole Park. The other path moves north. This path continues north until it T's and moves east and circles the Family Medicine Center, Nell J. Redfield, and the Pennington Medical Education building. Where the paths from the original V meet they continue as one path north. This path moves all the way to North McCarran Boulevard. Before there, it T's to the east and terminates at the Claude Howard System Administration building. Before it reaches its end, the path T's one last time to the south by the Center for Molecular Medicine where it meets up with the path the that was encompassing Family Medicine Center, Nell J. Redfield, and the Pennington Medical Education building.
Dismount zone
There are two dismount zones located on the map: the first is the area that makes up north of Ansari Business Building, east of Mack Social Science, south of Reynolds School of Journalism, and west of Schulich Lecture Hall. The second is further north starting at the northeast corner of William J. Raggio and encompassing the area north of that to Joe Crowley Student Union.

The campus paid visitor parking is a map of the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno main campus showing all of the buildings and the transportation routes (pathways and roadways) on campus and the roads surrounding the main campus: Virginia St. to the west, McCarran Blvd. to the north, Evans Ave. to the east and Ninth St. to the south. There is also a detail section showing the University buildings on Valley Rd.
The map shows the location and route to two paid visitor parking locations.
- Brian Whalen Parking Complex: Access is on the northbound side of North Virginia Street, just south of the 15th Street intersection. Paid visitor parking is on the first level only in the Brian Whalen Parking Complex for $2.00 per hour with a four-hour maximum time limit.
- West Stadium Parking Complex: Access is on the northbound side of North Virginia Street at 16th Street. After turning onto 16th Street, the route curves back around to the south before arriving at West Stadium Parking Complex. Paid visitor parking is on the top level only in the West Stadium Parking Complex for $7.00 per day.

Pack Line campus shuttle route
Starting at the stop in front of the Jot Travis Building, which is the Dorms' North stop, the campus shuttle moves north on Virginia Street, stopping at Church Fines Arts. It then continues north on Virginia Street, turning east on E. 15th Street and then veers northeast going north of Lombardi Recreation Center, servicing the Lombardi Recreation stop. Just after Lombardi Recreation Center it goes north along East Stadium Way until it turns west just past the Family Medicine Center at the traffic circle, serving the School of Medicine stop. It then continues east on 17th Street until it turns north between the U.S. Post Office and Central Services for the Post Office stop. It continues north and then it then turns back east just south of North McCarran Boulevard to service the North Green Lot stop. The shuttle continues east through the north Tan lot north of the School of Medicine, servicing the Enterprise Lot stop, and then meets up with Enterprise Road. The shuttle then crosses Evans Avenue, along Enterprise Road to The Highlands and Saga Reno Apartments where it circles back around towards Evans Avenue. The line follows Evans Avenue south where it stops at Cain Hall and continues to a small circle made just south of Fleischmann Agriculture serving this stop. The shuttle then loops back heading west on 9th Street. At North Virginia Street the line heads north to meet back up with the original starting location at the Dorm North stop.
