The mission statement of the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä Education Association (U of NEA) is to prepare students interested in careers in education. Through professional development, community outreach opportunities, and social events, we will help members develop an understanding of the education profession. We encourage diversity among members and their discipline to create professional, cooperative, and compassionate members of society.
Human Development and Family Science Club promotes educational and professional development to University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä students through volunteer and community service events, guest speakers, and workshops. HDFS Club is aimed towards students majoring, minoring, or simply interested in learning more about the lifespan of human life from infancy to geriatrics. Our goal as a club is to bring students together and give them an amazing experience and valuable opportunities. Students will be able to gain skills and knowledge to improve the health and well-being of individuals, children, adolescents, families, the elderly, and the Reno community as a whole.
The purpose of the ÁùºÏ±¦µäTeach STEM Club is to promote the success of math and science pre-service teachers at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno through the advocation of excellence in math and science education, as well as the development of lifelong friendships and professional networks. Additionally, club members aim to provide learning experiences through professional development workshops, conferences and conventions. The ÁùºÏ±¦µäTeach STEM Club is affiliated with the ÁùºÏ±¦µäTeach program at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno.
The purpose of the Graduate Student Association shall be to promote the welfare and interests of the graduate students of the University. This includes supporting GSA's Graduate Student Rights and Responsibilities document. The GSA defines a graduate student as any student enrolled in a graduate degree program, as well as all students enrolled as graduate specials. The government of this GSA shall function through the Council of Representatives, Executive Council and established committees. The GSA shall work closely with all appropriate university administrative offices, including the Graduate School and Student Services. GSA shall report to the President of the University.
