This 15-credit program will prepare you to design instructional materials and integrate technology in a variety of learning contexts, including K-12 schools, universities and industry.

The GC-IDT is not a graduate degree and does not take the place of a master's degree. However, credits taken may transfer into ITLD master’s program and other graduate programs.

  • ITLD 625 Design of Online Teaching and Learning (3 credits)
  • ITLD 720 Instructional design theory and application (3 credits)
  • ITLD 729 Universal Design for Learning and Technology Integration (3 credits)

Choice of two electives (6 credits):

  • ITLD 612 Methods of Using Info Tech in Education (3 credits)
  • ITLD 613 Digital Communication and Social Learning (3 credits)
  • ITLD 626 Game Based Instruction (3 credits)
  • ITLD 685 Project Management in Digital Integration (3 credits)
  • ITLD 686 Digital Visual Application for Instruction (3 credits)

Admission Requirements

Applications are accepted year-round.

  • Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent in any area.
  • Recommended undergraduate grade point average of 2.75 (on a 4.0 scale):
  • , plus the following:
    • A statement of your personal goals related to Instructional Design and Technology.
    • Transcripts of previous college work.
