Summary
Dr. Fronapfel is a Research Assistant Professor in the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Center for Excellence in Disabilities. Dr. Fronapfel is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral and Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of ÁùºÏ±¦µä. She has expertise in early intervention, autism and related disabilities, behavioral gerontology, teacher training and the application of behavior analysis within the educational system. Dr. Fronapfel teaches courses in the Special Education Advanced Studies in Behavior Analytic Interventions ABAI verified course sequence such as Principles of Behavior Analysis in Special Education, Philosophy of Behavior Analysis in Special Education, Ethics of Behavior Analysis in Special Education and Multi-tiered Systems of Support. In addition, Dr. Fronapfel oversees the independent fieldwork and practicum for the behavior analysis students. In addition, Dr. Fronapfel serves as a faulty member for Project ECHO, a trainer for Positive Behavior Supports – ÁùºÏ±¦µä, and a member of the NCED ICT team. Dr. Fronapfel provides behavioral consultation and support to ÁùºÏ±¦µä families, schools and teachers. Examples of recent research include a case study utilizing the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Young Children protocol, behavior analysis in secondary school sports, and establishing verbal behavior repertoires in children with disabilities. In 2019, Dr. Fronapfel was appointed by Governor Sandoval to serve on the inaugural ÁùºÏ±¦µä State Board of Applied Behavior Analysis, a role she continues to hold.
