Summary
Aryam Monge was born and raised in Reno, ÁùºÏ±¦µä, alongside her two younger siblings. She is a proud second-generation University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno college graduate and the daughter of Mexican immigrants. Both of her parents immigrated to the United States while they were in their early teens. Her mother and father faced many adversities when coming to the United States, but through endurance and determination, they were able to overcome anything. Their efforts and perseverance have made Aryam into the woman she is today and has shown her the power of education. Both of her parents have been the best role models any daughter could ask for, and she is proud to continue that tenacity into the future generation.
Aryam graduated from the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management with a minor in Human Resources. Before her current position, Aryam worked in HR and Recruitment Development for various organizations in the Greater ÁùºÏ±¦µä Reno area. Throughout her college career, Aryam was able to work directly with first-generation students whose stories and backgrounds encouraged her to fight for equity and equal opportunities for all. At the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, Aryam is striving to recognize the accomplishments of first-generation students by highlighting their stories in a new and inventive way. Together with ÁùºÏ±¦µä First-Gen Network, we can do anything, Si Se Puede!
