3 reasons to hire our graduates

Our graduates are:

  1. Globally competitive: The College of Engineering offers degree programs designed to make our graduates competitive with engineers around the globe. In addition to state-of-the-art curricula and research opportunities, international engineering exchange programs expose our graduates to the best engineering schools worldwide.
  2. Well-rounded: Students learn teamwork and problem-solving skills on our award-winning competition teams. During senior year capstone classes, they develop marketable products, gaining exposure to budgeting, marketing and teamwork, in addition to experiencing all aspects of engineering design considerations. A required course in Engineering Communications helps our graduates hone their ability to communicate technical concepts to multidisciplinary teams.
  3. Leaders: A recent survey by our Assessment and Program Development Committee found that two-thirds of employers surveyed rated our graduates above average in their ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, and 71 percent reported that our graduates seek leadership opportunities and tend to quickly become project managers.

Job postings

The College of Engineering has a dedicated portal where you can post internship, entry-level, or experienced  engineering opportunities. Once positions are submitted, they are reviewed and, if approved, are posted to our internal engineering-and-computer-science-only job board. Submit your job posting.

Connecting with faculty and student organizations

Our college has more than 60 faculty with expertise in a variety of engineering and computer science areas. Our faculty are always interested in engaging with employers, many of whom have worked to develop senior design projects or have offered technical presentations in classes about products, processes, or projects of relevance to their companies. We also have a wide range of student groups who are eager to engage with experienced engineering professionals. Our career services office is happy to facilitate connections with our college faculty or with our student groups.
