Wildlife Ecology & Management Research

Faculty in the Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Science have strong interests in the conservation and ecology of wildlife populations, including reintroduction of extirpated mammals to their historic ranges, maintenance of biodiversity, management of harvested species and understanding how wildlife interact with human-altered landscapes. Faculty rely on modern approaches in genetics, demography and population biology, behavior, and landscape ecology to accomplish their research goals.
