The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) is one of five departments in the College of Engineering at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, a rapidly growing R1 research institution. The ME Department offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering and a minor in aerospace engineering, with plans to expand the program. The mechanical engineering program is ABET accredited and has approximately 800 undergraduate and 40 graduate students. Departmental resources include access to the University’s High Performance Computing facility and a 5,700-square-foot Aerospace Engineering Experimental Station secured in support of the Department’s new aerospace engineering program. Reno is one of 10 participants nationwide in the FAA’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Pilot Program. For more information, visit the Mechanical Engineering website.
