Summary
Mayura comes to the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno with a diverse skill set built over several years, across a variety of industries both in Canada and the United States. Serving as a contract specialist, her knowledge and growth in contract management stems from having worked in the insurance industry to establish critical illness insurance policies, an HR recruiting firm drafting and maintaining Master Service Agreements for both clients and contractors in areas such as engineering and NATO government projects, Naval and Military defense, etc., and lastly, the mining industry, where she worked at many sites under Barrick & ÁùºÏ±¦µä Gold Mines joint venture to establish contracts for procurement of services/contractors, equipment, chemicals and materials. It was a role that included oversight of purchasing for the entire site, materials management and customer service support. This included being a driving leader for logistics, collaboration and business improvement across the mine sites and adjoining departments.
Mayura is a dynamic professional with experience developing and implementing strategic plans, managing concurrent projects, and providing operational support. A critical thinker, negotiating and reviewing contract documentation to ensure compliance with guidelines and standards. She draws on communication and interpersonal skills to influence decision makers and partners with cross-functional teams and suppliers, at all levels.
