The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center is open to the public year-round for walk-ins, public showings, field trips and private dome screenings.

Getting to the Planetarium

The Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center is located on the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno campus.

Directions

The Planetarium is located north of Lawlor Events Center. It can be found at the intersection of North Virginia and 16th Street, approximately 1.5 miles north of the downtown Reno arch.

The facility can be accessed through the third floor of the West Stadium Parking Complex.

Hours of operation

The Planetarium's hours of operation vary by offering. See below for weekly public hours, field trip availability and private dome screening scheduling information.

Public hours

Fridays: 2:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Saturdays: 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Visitors may either purchase tickets online or in-person to see a Full-Dome Theater show.

If you want to explore the Planetarium and its exhibits without attending a showing, you will pay a walk-in fee of just $3 per person. Visitors who only desire to browse the Science Store do not have to pay the walk-in fee.

Field trip availability

Monday-Saturday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Private dome screenings

Available during non-public showtimes

Private dome screenings for groups of up to 60 people are available by pre-arranged reservation seven days a week. Please call the Planetarium staff at (775) 784-4812 to confirm your reservation time before booking. To learn more about this offering, visit the private dome screening page.
