Summary
Warren Lerude taught First Amendment and Society (Media Law) and Media Leaders and Issues (Management) courses and supervised the Professional Internship Program in an RSJ career spanning 28 years (from 1981 to 2009) following a 20- year reporting, editing/publishing and management career with The Associated Press and Speidel/Gannett newspapers in Reno, Oakland (CA), at USA TODAY and other media in Europe and Latin America. Warren and his wife Janet endowed an annual award for the RSJ student most exemplifying the values of the First Amendment and have planned an endowment with the RSJ for a First Amendment Professorship and Program. They provided funds for the first computers in the RSJ, establishing the Warren Lerude Writing Center. Warren led ÁùºÏ±¦µä, regional and national First Amendment and writing, editing and ethics programs.
