Receive internship credit

Once you’ve found a mentor and an organization that has agreed to provide an internship, you need to have the internship approved by the internship director. The organization must also be approved by the university.

Before applying, every intern must have a:

  • Professional resume
  • Cover letter
  • LinkedIn Profile
  • Portfolio website/blog (can be the one from classes)

Students are strongly encouraged to submit drafts of these materials to the Career Studio or the internship director for review. Typos, misspelled names, poor descriptions can make it difficult to secure an internship, so you’ll want to polish these materials as much as possible. On your resume, list attributes industry leaders desire, not tasks assigned at places of employment.

Required forms

These forms need to be submitted to the internship director and approved prior to registration and before starting the internship work.
