• Housing application opens at 10am | Nov 13, 2024
  • Academic year 2025-26 housing application opens (incoming first-year students, returning students, transfer students, etc.). All students must pay the $300 down payment at the time of application or work with our staff to enter into a "deferred payment agreement." Only applications with a "complete" status will be eligible to participate in the room self-selection, roommate and assignment process

January

• Roommate group portal opens | Jan 15, 2025
  • Students will be able to form roommate groups through the (maximum of 3 students per roommate group) from January 15 through February 2, 2025

February

• Roommate group portal closes for priority date consideration | Feb 2, 2025
  • Priority application date closes for 2025-2026 housing. All students who submit a "completed" application by this date can self-select their building/room in the student housing portal starting Feb 21, 2025

March

• Lottery time slots are emailed to students who applied by priority deadline | Mar 6, 2025
  • Students should check their University email for lottery times

June

• Housing down payment due | June 15, 2025
  • $300 down payment (applied to fall semester housing charges) is due for all applications, with the exception of students who were provided a written waiver of this requirement.
  • Deadline to cancel your housing application without penalty. Students who don't pay by June 15 (and who do not have a written waiver) risk having their housing assignment canceled and are subject to cancellation fees as listed in the license agreement. Cancellation requests received after this date are subject to the terms in the license agreement. 
  • Guarantor form due, any student under 18 at the time of application must submit the guarantor form
• University Deadlines | June 15, 2025
  • Proof of meningitis vaccination due. The University must have this proof on file prior to the student moving into on-campus housing. Acceptance of admission to the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno due

July

• Housing assignment for Academic Year 2025-2026 | July 15, 2025
  • Students who have applied BEFORE June 15 can self-select pending space availability and will receive their room assignment and move in details
  • Students who have applied AFTER June 15 will receive their room assignments and move in details
• Room change portal opens  | July 22,2025
  • Room change request period opens for all assigned students, requests can be made through the starting July 22 through July 31, 2025

August

• Meal plan change request opens | Aug 1, 2025
  • Meal plan change request period runs August 1 through September 12, 2025 - students are allowed a lifestyle meal plan change through the third week of each semester, only upgrades are allowed after that date. To request a meal plan change, please visit the student housing portal and complete the meal plan change academic year application

  • Residence halls open for students returning to on-campus housing, visit our move-in day page
• Payment due for Fall semester tuition, fees, room and board | Aug 23, 2025

• Room change portal opens  | Aug 25, 2025
  • Room change request period opens for all assigned students, requests can be done through the starting August 25 through September 5, 2025

October

• Spring only application opens | Oct 1,2025
  • This Spring application is available for all incoming students (first-year students, continuing students, transfer students, etc.). Students currently living on campus do not need to fill out a new application for the Spring semester

February

• Living Learning Community (LLC) room selection begins  | Feb 15, 2026
  • Students who applied by February 2, have a "completed" housing application status, and have an email confirmation for a Living Learning Community as their housing choice will be assigned a room selection lottery time slot for room self selection starting February 21 through February 28, 2026
