Digital Wolf Pack Initiative Faculty FAQ
No, the iPad is University property. If you are leaving the university, you should turn your iPad into your immediate supervisor for re-assignment. You should treat the iPad in the same way you would treat a laptop that was issued to you.
Yes. We currently have training opportunities scheduled with offerings form both our imbedded Apple Professional Learning Specialist and the Office of Digital Learning. Information related to training opportunities can be found on the ODL website.
In our newer classrooms we have wireless interfaces available, known as Crestron AirMedia. These devices allow you to wirelessly display your iPad in the classroom using the Crestron AirMedia app. The Crestron AirMedia devices work with iPads (and other iOS devices), Windows laptops, Apple laptops and Android devices. In older rooms you can connect your iPad via a wired connection – however, this will require the appropriate adapter (e.g., USB-C to HDMI/VGA). We are working on expanding availability of the wireless interfaces across all of our classrooms. You can contact the Office of Digital Learning for training and/or support in the classroom at classroom@unr.edu or (775) 784-6085.
