Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program
The Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program provides funding for individual University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno student internships in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with local tech small businesses and start-up companies, as well as non-profit organizations. This program is administered by the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Career Studio and supports the training and retention of STEM talent in the state of ÁùºÏ±¦µä. By participating in this program, undergraduate and graduate students apply their education and gain experience in the technology, start-up and non-profit sectors. All Pack STEM Internship positions are offered at $18 per hour.
Internships will occur over three cycles: Fall, Spring and Summer. Internships that take place in the Fall and Spring will be 120 hours and internships that take place in the Summer will be 360 hours.

By participating in this program, undergraduate and graduate students apply their education and gain experience in the tech and start-up industries. Additionally, this is a great way for students to build or expand their professional network.
Yes! If your academic program or college provides an internship course, you are welcome to enroll in it for academic credit. Talk to your academic advisor on how to enroll for the correct course. Students may also enroll in ACE 400 as an elective credit if their college does not provide a specific internship course. Please check with your academic advisor to learn more.
Any University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno degree-seeking undergraduate and graduate student enrolled full-time in a STEM major course to apply.
- Any University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum 2.5 University cumulative GPA is eligible to apply.

Any University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum 3.0 University cumulative GPA is eligible to apply.
DACA students and international students who have been here at least two semesters and will receive academic credit for this internship are eligible. The ÁùºÏ±¦µä Career Studio recommends DACA students and international students reach out to The Multicultural Center and the Office of International Students and Scholars for more information about employment.
Students who are enrolled in the following degree programs are eligible for the Wolf Pack STEM Internship Program.

Yes! You can apply for multiple positions. The ÁùºÏ±¦µä Career Studio recommends to tailor your application materials to the internship. Meet with one of our Career Mentors during our drop-in hours for guidance, resources and support as you work on your application status.
A Pack STEM intern cannot be hired by the same employer twice. Students are welcome to apply and work for a different employer each year they apply to the program.
If you are a current or previous paid employee with the Pack STEM employer, you are ineligible for their Pack STEM position. You are eligible to apply to other positions offered by different employers.
The ÁùºÏ±¦µä Career Studio will do an initial screening of all applicants to ensure they meet our academic requirements after the student application process closes. Then, the employers will review the candidates and contact students for an interview opportunity. The interview and selection process by employers will occur throughout the year depending on the internship cycle. Students will be notified via email when the search process concludes.

All students who accept a Pack STEM Internship position are required to complete a mandatory student orientation to discuss the program's expectations. Once a student completes the orientation, they may begin their positions within a week of their internship start date.
