Central receiving

Central receiving is responsible for receiving and distributing packages shipped to the University. Delivery routes are subject to change. Perishable items are first priority, and we follow required procedures for handling hazardous materials.

Freight shipping procedures

All outbound freight shipments must be properly packaged and palletized for shipping. All shipping documents must be thorough and completed. Receiving can assist with these tasks.

Freight delivery procedures

Receiving works in conjunction with Buildings and Grounds Moving department for large material or freight deliveries. Depending on the amount or size of the job required these deliveries can take up to ten business days to complete delivery. Most cases freight deliveries are made within three to five business days.
