Summary
Greg Mosier has been dean of the College of Business at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno since 2007.
His responsibilities as Dean include executive and administrative support for approximately 75 faculty, thirty-five professionals and staff and 3,500 students. Academic programs in the College of Business include those at the Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, MBA and PhD levels. They include the Departments of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Management and Marketing. Also reporting to him are the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Small Business Development Center statewide program, ÁùºÏ±¦µä Business Environmental Program, Center for Regional Studies, University Center for Economic Development and Ozmen Center for Entrepreneurship.
Mosier serves as a member of the PBS Reno Public Broadcasting Board of Trustees and the Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce Board. He also serves on the International Advisory Board for the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and is a frequent contributor to the global business school accreditation activities of AACSB.
As dean, he has led College strategic planning with initiatives in student success, research excellence, economic development and international studies. He developed a new College Advisory Board, a Corporate Partners program, a comprehensive student study abroad program, and a college marketing campaign including publications, print and electronic media.
Mosier previously served as interim dean of the Spears School of Business, Oklahoma State University, associate dean at Oklahoma State University, Regents Service Professor, and the Puterbaugh Professor of Legal Studies in Business. He is a former corporate attorney, having worked in the oil and gas industry in Texas and passed the State Bar Exams of Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. Mosier is the author or co-author of numerous journal articles and publications with research focusing on technology and the law, commercial law, and international business.
Dean Mosier earned a B.S. in Secondary Biology Education from Oklahoma State University, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from Oklahoma State University.
