A glimpse into our past

The College of Business has a long and storied history as a builder of business experts. Founded in 1956, the College was led in its earliest days by founding dean Robert Weems. The College enjoyed the fast-track to success: within 16 months of opening its doors, the College's Bureau of Business and Economic Research gained full membership in the national organization, the Associated University Bureaus of Business and Economic Research. The swiftness of the accomplishment set a new record.

Corporate partnership

The College of Business partners with a number of companies, ranging from Reno-area businesses to international technology corporations, to help engage with and inform students about best business practices. Those companies often recruit College of Business graduates, owing to the quality education and real-world experience they receive while a student at the College.
