The Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) survey instrument collects information on what students are like before they experience college. CIRP is a program run through the at the University of California, Los Angeles.
For over 50 years, the survey has collected information on students at participating institutions across the country. The University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno participates every few years to examine changes in student preparation for college, related academic and social experiences, and plans for the future.

- 3,476 new students took the CIRP survey and institutional supplemental survey
- 78% of new students took the new student survey
