Julia Peek, Co-Chair
Julia Peek, a native ÁùºÏ±¦µän from Carson Valley, graduated from Douglas High School before earning a bachelor's degree in Health Ecology, a minor in Human Development and Family Studies and a Certificate in Gerontology from the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno. She then obtained her master's in Health Services Administration, focusing on rural and underserved communities, from the University of Washington.
Since 2006, Julia has worked at the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Department of Health and Human Services, rising from health resource analyst to leadership roles, including Deputy Director. She has received numerous awards for her public health work. She lives in Reno with her husband and three kids.
Steve Kane, Co-Chair
Steve Kane is a labor arbitrator for the U.S. Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. His career in industry was spent primarily as a VP at Baxter Healthcare.
Kane serves on the board of five nonprofits, and is the former Board Chair of the Food Bank of Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä.
Kane holds a B.S. and MBA from Cornell University, where he is a Life Member of the Cornell Council. He obtained a J.D. from the University of Akron School of Law. 
Kane is a member of the Texas and Ohio Bar associations.
Valerie Clark
Valerie Clark is President of Clark & Associates of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Inc., an insurance brokerage firm specializing in innovative health insurance solutions. She holds LUTCF and RHU designations and has a nursing background, with a degree from Loma Linda University and nine years of nursing experience before joining Clark & Associates in 1993. Clark has led the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce and founded its Healthcare Committee. She received the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Business Healthcare Hero Award in 2009 and has served on several boards, including the ÁùºÏ±¦µä State Board of Medical Examiners and the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange Board.
Jane Fox
Jane Fox specializes in health services research and community health program evaluation, with over 25 years of experience in HIV/AIDS care. Her work, including roles with the Health Resources and Services Administration and at the Southeast AIDS Training and Education Center, focuses on improving access to care for vulnerable populations. Fox has also led multisite evaluations at Boston University on HIV-related issues. She is a member of the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno School of Public Health’s Community Advisory Board and serves on the board of Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä HOPES, a Federally Qualified Health Center.
Chad Kingsley
Chad Kingsley, M.D., MBA, is the District Health Officer for Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä Public Health, overseeing health for 500,000 residents and 4.5 million annual visitors. Before this role, he was the Public Health Director for Mohave County, Arizona and held positions as Regional Trauma Director and ICS-COVID-19 Director for Southern ÁùºÏ±¦µä Health District. Dr. Kingsley earned his M.D. from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, an MBA in Healthcare Management from Western Governors University and a CPM designation from Arizona State University. He also has a B.A. in Spanish from the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Las Vegas.
Stephanie Kruse
Kara Martinezmoles
Kara Martinezmoles, ’05, ’12 MPH, earned a B.S. in Health Ecology and an MPH in Health Ethics, Health Care Administration and Policy from the School of Public Health. She joined Renown Health in her final semester of her bachelor’s program and has since held leadership roles in revenue cycle, IT, program development, population health management and health plan administration.
Currently, she is the Vice President of Operations at Hometown Health and serves on the School of Public Health Community Advisory Board and the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Women’s Fund board.
Kurt Mische
Mische is involved with the Downtown Reno Rotary Club, Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce, California Public Television and the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Broadcasters Association. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University.
Tony Wynn
Tony Wynn received his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Manchester and held a successful career in international sales, marketing and product management for Bayer, Inc..
Wynn later served as the president of Lamorna Enterprises, LLC. He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Michiana YMCA and Food Bank of Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä. He also provided mentorship services for the Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä HOPES senior leadership team.
