Assistant Vice President and Chief of Police
Chief James began his career at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno Police in 2003. He has been involved in community instruction, campus alcohol programs, event safety and more throughout his time at the University. Before his work with university police, Chief James served in the United States Marine Corps for 12 years, receiving awards in leadership and excellence for his performance.

Deputy Chief
Deputy Chief Reynolds was born in California but has been a resident of Reno, ÁùºÏ±¦µä since 1984. Deputy Chief Reynolds graduated from McQueen High School in 1995 and began attending Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), sponsoring himself through the High Sierra Law Enforcement Academy and ultimately graduating in December of 1998 from the police academy and from Truckee Meadows Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.
