Summary
Lisa began her career working in nursing as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in 1993. After obtaining her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2005, Lisa worked four years as a travel nurse in the acute care areas of telemetry, medical-surgical, and neuro step-down. Travel nursing brought Lisa to Reno, where she has lived since 2012. Since moving to Reno, Lisa has obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (2011), Masters of Science in Nursing (2014), and her Doctor of Education (2023). Lisa has been full time faculty at Orvis School of Nursing since 2014. She has experience teaching in undergraduate and graduate program tracks. She has served as clinical faculty, clinical course coordinator, and OSNA Faculty Advisor. Lisa serves as OSN’s Curriculum and Accreditation Specialist and coordinator of faculty onboarding/orientation and mentorship programs.
