Summary
Robert Callaghan has been the piano technician at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno since July 2004.
In 1978, he graduated from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California with a bachelor of Aarts in liberal arts as a music major with emphasis in piano performance. In 1980, he completed a course in piano technology at New England Conservatory under Frank Hanson, who was then the piano technician for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. He has been a member of the Piano Technicians' Guild since 1981. He has had a few short articles published in The Piano Technicians' Journal and is a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) with the Piano Technicians' Guild.
Callaghan is still an active musician, singing in the chorus of the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Opera and in the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Opera Madrigal Ensemble.
He has several arrangements and piano transcriptions published by Yelton Rhodes Music.
