Resources for McNair Scholars

: The National McNair Scholars Program website contains useful links to discover where conferences are being held, what schools have McNair visitation programs, types of funding available, events, and what's going on with McNair programs across the nation. It also lists all the institutions that offer McNair Application Fee Waivers, Assistantships, and Fellowships for doctoral study. (Please remember that you will need proof that you are a McNair Scholar or alum to take part in these opportunities.)

: The University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno is an active research institution. Our mission is to promote, support and publicize undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in all disciplines.

 A comprehensive list updated through the University of California at Davis.  This list tracks fellowship funding (scholarships for graduate students) that potential graduate students can apply for. Receiving this external funding increases your chances of getting accepted into a graduate program as you can enter into that program having already received funds from outside the university.

: A list of over 1,000 external fellowships updated through Cornell University

: NSF funds a large number of research opportunities for undergraduate students through its REU Sites program. An REU Site consists of a group of ten or so undergraduates who work in the research programs of the host institution.
