Summary

Sushila Baral is a Ph.D research student in the Cell and Molecular Biology program. Sushila completed a masters degree in microbiology from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.  Durin academic career at Tribhuvan University, Sushila studied microorganisms that cannot be seen by our naked eye yet powerful to cause a wide variety of disease in human and animals is what grabbed my interest in microbiological research. Sushila studied the gene components of bacteria, Streptococcus pyogenes, that plays vital role in different disease manifestations in humans. The long-term goal of Sushila's  research is to contribute for the control of infectious diseases. Sushila believes that engaging in different extra activities has a vital role in shaping a student personality. During undergraduate career, Sushila was a member of creative science association where a platform was created for students to convey science to the public. During Sushila's career at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, Sushila has been affiliated with Nepalese Student Association, as a vice-president for the academic year 2023-2024. Sushila is  looking foward to connect with other students from the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno and discuss different problems of graduate students to bring out the solutions for the betterment of all.
