Summary
Madhusudan Manjunatha is a first-generation Ph.D. student in the Cell and Molecular Biology program. He is currently working in Andrew Nuss's Insect Physiology Laboratory. His research focuses on neuropeptide signaling in the western tarnished plant bug. He is from India, and he received his bachelor's degree in Agriculture and master's degree in Agricultural Entomology from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. Throughout his academic journey, he has actively participated in various leadership roles, including serving as secretary for the Entomology Club at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore for two years. He was on a local organizing committee for insect exhibitions for two consecutive years during his master's degree. He has received multiple awards and gold medals for his outstanding performance in his bachelor's and master's degrees. Apart from his academic pursuits, he enjoys hiking, biking and traveling, in general, he likes spending time in nature. He has a profound appreciation for what GSA works towards, allowing for the students who make up a school to have a say in its direction. He believes in working together, and he is interested in creating meaningful connections with those around him and contributing to his graduate community.
