Foundation Deposit FAQs (for staff)

In the Forms tab on the FAQs and Forms page. All information in the Forms section is alphabetical. Foundation Deposit Procedures is in the list of forms before the Foundation transmittals.
The Foundation Fund ID is a 6-digit number and can be found in Raiser's Edge under the Fund tab in the Records folder. The Foundation Fund ID is not the Worktag Fund ID (FD406 or FD416).
We prefer the Foundation Fund ID number, but the Workday Gift tag/GF# and corresponding fund name is acceptable.
Within this webpage of FAQs and Forms, you will find the Foundation Deposit Procedures and all the Transmittals. These Transmittals are your deposit slip and receipt. Cash should be delivered to the Foundation office within 24 hours of receipt. Any deposit of cash of $1,000 or more should be deposited same day by two people from your department. The first donor field on the Gift transmittal is the name on the check. Please put the donor’s name in this field. If the cash is from an anonymous donor, please put the word "anonymous" in the name on check field.
The person or company giving you money should indicate what the funds should be used for. If ANY part of the money is tax deductible (e.g., a portion of a sponsorship, Corporate Partners or outright donation), you will use a gift transmittal. If they are paying for something (e.g., dinner tickets, tickets to an event, souvenirs or any fee), you will use a fee transmittal. Any time you get a credit card payment, over the phone or through the mail, you will fax it to our secure fax at (775) 682-5944.
