Summary
Joanne Mallari teaches writing and related courses in the Department of English.
She is the author of Daughter Tongue, a chapbook that explores hybrids of identity from the perspective of a second-generation Filipino-American. Her poetry has been published in journals including Crab Orchard Review, Palimpsest and Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, which nominated her work for a Pushcart Prize.
Born in southern California and raised in Las Vegas, she has called Reno home since 2008.
