Animal & Rangeland Science (M.S. & Ph.D.)

Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees offer graduate study of animal science and the ecology, management and restoration of rangeland and ecosystems. Areas of specialization include (but are not limited to):

Master of Science

The Master of Science Program prepares students to address critical regional and worldwide needs in animal science and rangeland ecology and management by meeting these degree or program objectives.

Students will be able to:

  • Apply scientific concepts to research questions related to the sustainable management of agricultural and natural resources.
  • Plan and execute experiments using appropriate science and statistical approaches.
  • Effectively compose and articulate scientific concepts through written and oral communication.
  • Evaluate and apply professional ethics in the design and application of their research.

Doctor of Philosophy
