As an admitted transfer student at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, follow the steps below to be guided through the admission process. Make sure you keep track of all admission materials and deadlines for enrollment. If you have any questions, contact our admissions team:

What to do after you are admitted as a transfer student
- . Your MyNEVADA username and password will be different than the username and password you created to submit an application to the University.
- Create your MyNEVADA profile. After clicking on activate account, you'll be prompted to create your MyNEVADA profile. Complete the fields on this page and click "Submit."
- Create your MyNEVADA password. After creating your profile, you will need to create a MyNEVADA password.

After your application has been evaluated for admission and you've been accepted, you will receive an admission packet with a letter informing you of your acceptance. Your next step is to accept or decline your admission offer to the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno.
Accepting admission to the University is a non-binding decision.
You may accept or decline admission in MyNEVADA. In order to accept admissions, you must first .
Accepting admission to the University
Log-into MyNEVADA. The first step is to log-in to using your NSHE ID and password. Once you log-in, you will see your submitted application along with a link to "Accept or Decline." After clicking on the link, you will be prompted to select "I Accept Admission" or "I Decline Admission."
Accept or decline admission. Confirm your decision by clicking on the appropriate button. Finally, select "Confirm Admission" to complete the process. Your account will update overnight and your status in MyNEVADA will change from "Applicant" to "Student."
What happens if you decline admission?
If you choose to decline admission, all of your associated applications (e.g., scholarships, housing applications) will also be canceled. This action cannot be reversed.
Submit any official transcripts from college coursework you’ve completed since you were admitted to the University. You are required to send in all final official transcripts, failure to do so may result in a hold.

As a transfer student, it is important that you consult with an Academic Advisor to discuss your academic and career goals. Academic Advisors will help you develop an academic plan, review transfer credits, and request course substitutions and review as necessary.
You can use to review your transfer credit report as well as your academic requirements.
Housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and a wait-list begins when applications exceed available space. If you plan on living in on-campus, it is important you apply for housing as early as possible.
Priority deadline is February 1.
Remember, the housing application is separate from the admission application.
Transfer students can apply to live in the Transfer Living Learning Community, located in Canada Hall. The community designed to meet the unique needs of transfer students and to live together with other students who have transferred to the University.
The New Student Orientation program is designed to prepare you for the transition to the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno. Orientation helps connect new transfer students to campus life and make the most of services that support success at the University.
Orientation sessions are offered twice per year – in the summer for students starting in the fall term and in January for students starting in the Spring Term.
Orientation is optional for transfer students.
Additional transfer programming
Summer programs such as Orientation and TransferFIT are offered to transfer students to support their transition to the University, teach students about campus resources, allow students to find their classes early, encourage campus involvement and engagement, and provide an example of what it is like to be a student at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno.
Orientation and TransferFIT are optional programs for students who start school in the fall semester.
Opening Weekend kicks off the same weekend that TransferFIT begins. All students are welcome and encouraged to attend!
TransferFIT is an optional but highly recommended 15-week experiential learning course (ACE 310) exclusively for transfer students that satisfies your CO9 requirement. Students will work with a student mentor who was a transfer student and other new transfer students, practice using campus resources, and improve their digital literacy skills as it relates to being a student in the 21st century. The course begins with welcome activities and events during ÁùºÏ±¦µäFIT week and continues with self-paced, asynchronous content during the fall semester.
Students must apply to the TransferFIT program on the ÁùºÏ±¦µäFIT website to be enrolled in the course.
We invite all new students and their families to join us for a weekend of events to kick off TransferFIT (and ÁùºÏ±¦µäFIT for incoming freshmen) and the new school year. Opening Weekend includes activities, open houses and meetups on campus to keep you busy between your move-in time and FIT check-in.
- Residence Hall move-in dates are Thursday, Friday and Saturday – wait to find out your assigned move-in day before making travel plans.
- Students will receive their iPad Air, Apple Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil as part of the Digital Wolf Pack Initiative during Opening Weekend.
- New students and guests are invited to attend Opening Ceremony on Saturday evening.
- More information about Opening Weekend events will become available on the Orientation website no later than July.
