Component overview
Form panels allow you to combine a form embed component with an optional header image and copy placed next to the form. Use of a form panel can give you styling options not available in a plain embed component.
- Form Panels can be used on all page schemas: Although designed for the Section Front schema, Form Panels can also be used on Section Detail, Profile Detail and Degree Detail pages.
- Form Panels only use Formstack: Formstack is the approved form solution for creating a Form Panel. You must create a standalone Embed component that is nested within the Form Panel component.
- Consider the length of your form and associated text: The Form Panel has a WYSIWYG for content to be placed next to the form. Think about the length of the content in relation to the form length. Short copy with a long form may be jarring for the user.
- Think about strategic form placement (especially on mobile devices): Forms can be placed on the left or right. Remember, form content stacks on mobile devices. Think about the user experience; on what point of the page where should the form and content be presented to the user on a mobile device?
- Header images are optional: You do not need to include a header image with your Form Panel. If you do select one, choose an image that matches the context of the Form Panel content.
- Use background color to your advantage: Form Panels allow for dark gray or blue backgrounds on the form. Take the style of the content above or below the content into consideration when selecting a background color.
- Size your header image correctly: Form Panel headers have a required size of 1200 x 400 px.
- Form Panels can be the only content on the page: You can leverage the Form Panel's WYSIWYG body copy area and create an entire page with just the Form Panel component.
- Form Panel forms must be cleared in Site Improve: Forms can trigger multiple issues, including grouping warnings, descriptive field errors and more. Be sure to review your form embeds manually in Site Improve when using Form Panels.
- Form Panel header images must include alt-text: Header images in Form Panels require a descriptive alt-text.
- Select a proper H- or P-tag for your Form Panels: Be sure to select a proper H-tag for the position of your Form Panels on the page to ensure you do not skip H-tag levels and adhere to our accessibility and on-page optimization guidelines.
- Form Panel anchor text (links) must be unique: Each anchor text must be unique to that link to ensure you do not create a multiple destination link accessibility error.
The required image size for Form Panel headers is 1200 x 400 px.

Choose this Ph.D. in social psychology
Incoming students develop a mentoring relationship with a faculty member of the program. Students are encouraged to engage in scholarly research, often in collaboration with faculty, to present findings at professional meetings and to publish in reviewed journals and volumes. In addition to the support offered by the University's Graduate Student Association, the social psychology Ph.D. program offers financial assistance for student travel and research.
The program's interdisciplinary focus allows students to experience a wide range of perspectives within the field of social psychology. This holistic approach prepares students for engaging and rewarding work in both academic and applied settings upon completion of the program.
Graduates of the program are today employed in a variety of capacities. Roughly one-third teach and conduct research at universities, typically in tenure-track positions. One-third have full-time research positions in the public sector (county, state or federal level positions, including nonprofit organizations). The final third of graduates work in the private sector, either for commercial organizations -- for example, Adobe or Hotwire -- or operate their own consulting business. In short, advanced graduate training in social psychology can lead to a wide range of career paths.
