Summary
Kara Wood is a doctoral student in the Interdisciplinary Social Psychology Ph.D. program. She has a master's degree in Sociology from the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno as well as two bachelor's degrees in psychology and sociology also from UNR. Her research explores social and behavioral determinants of health and well-being. Specifically, she is interested in topics such as physical reactions to stress, emotional regulation in older adults, and sexuality/body image and aging. She is passionate about intersectionality, interdisciplinary collaborative research, mixed methods, and asking questions.
