Ph.D. in Cognitive and Brain Sciences She/her/hers

Summary

Mackenzie V. Wise is a graduate student of the Cognitive and Brain Sciences program, where she has worked in Dr. Michael Crognale's lab since 2019. She has been working with EEG methods for nearly a decade, using this technique to address various topics ranging from features of cognitive processing to phase 1 clinical trials for epilepsy treatment. Her current research investigates the potential benefits of novel EEG methods for the study of the human visual system, with the goal of adapting these methods for use in highly dynamic environments such as those present during aviation. She is also investigating the mechanisms underlying the relationship between attention and visual processing.
