Dear Wolf Pack Family,

Over the past several weeks, you may have seen news reports regarding the issue of women’s sports. As a result of events that have occurred in our community and on our campus, it is imperative that we acknowledge the individual and collective experience of these challenges and reaffirm our University’s steadfast commitment to fostering an environment that invites all who are part of our Wolf Pack Family.

The University is celebrating 150 years of serving the economic, social, environmental and cultural needs of the citizens of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, the nation and the world. In meeting that mission, the University recognizes and embraces the critical importance of diversity and the value of inclusive excellence. We have been intentional in recent years to create environments where all members of our community feel they are welcome, heard and seen.

As a land-grant institution that serves every ÁùºÏ±¦µän, our University celebrates the richness that diverse identities bring to our research, teaching and service-based missions. Individuals, no matter their backgrounds, have every right to feel welcome, safe and heard on our campus. The strength of our institution lies in people knowing that their voices are heard and that there is always an opportunity for dialogue.

Our campus is more diverse than it has ever have been, and the value of that diversity is obvious in many ways. The University is classified as a Carnegie R1 “Very High Research” institution. As such, it is home to researchers, teachers and scholars who hold diverse, intersecting cultural identities who are changing the world’s approach in their fields.

This has been a time of uncertainty for many on our campus. We wish to remind everyone that there are a number of campus resources here to help.

The University’s LiveWell Program is available to help you prioritize your well-being and navigate campus resources.
