Summary
I am a new graduate student at DRI pursuing my master's under the direction of Dr. Anne Heggli with a project focused understanding the saltation of snow and its impacts on visibility for over snow travel. I graduated Montana State University with a bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Environmental Health. Since graduating I have worked seasonally as a ski patroller, wildland fire EMT and a mountain guide on Mount Rainier. My jobs in the outdoor industry have allowed me to learn more about the natural world around me and find what I am passionate about. I am excited to be returning to school to combine my love of science and snow.
