Summary

I am currently pursuing a Hydrogeology M.S. degree at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno. My current research, with Dr. Kaitlin Keegan, is apart of the Taylor Dome Project (funded by the National Science Foundation), where I will be investigating the accumulation rate impact on firn compaction and evolution in Taylor Dome, Antarctica. While awaiting the opportunity for our team to conduct field research, I am delving into the exploration of microstructural parameters crucial for understanding firn compaction. This chapter involves a thorough analysis of micro-computed tomography (Micro-CT) images from the South Pole.

Dedicated to advancing the field of Cryosphere research, my journey has been shaped by transformative experiences, including impactful internships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and the National Snow and Ice Data Center, where I explored the intricacies of polar research. During an undergraduate course, I was exposed to firn science, which ignited a spark in me. This passion for firn was further heightened during my NASA internship, where I had the opportunity to work on a version of the Community Firn Model.

With a forthcoming M.S degree, my vision is to persist in the realm of Cryosphere research. I aspire to integrate my multifaceted experience in atmospheric science and ice sheet research. Outside of research, some of my hobbies include attending concerts/festivals, skiing, slacklining, hula-hooping, paddleboarding, and climbing.
