Summary
As the Associate Industrial Hygienist, Ms. Nidever assists with overseeing the Industrial Hygiene (IH) program within the Department of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S). Her responsibilities include but are not limited to: performing various routine IH tasks including assessing and tracking ventilation equipment such as chemical fume hoods and local exhaust systems, responding to calls and reports, overseeing the respiratory protection program including respirator fit testing, and maintaining and calibrating IH equipment. Prior to joining the University full-time in 2023, she worked for the Bureau of Water Pollution Control (BWPC) within the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Division of Environmental Protection (NDEP) writing permits for 8 months following graduation from the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno (UNR) in 2022. As an undergraduate student, she served as a student employee assisting the IH program within EH&S for 3 years.
