The accounting major provides students with the theories and procedures necessary to prepare them for the many facets of the accounting profession, such as public, managerial, tax and government accounting. Students graduating from the department are prepared to obtain employment in a competitive job market, start a business, or continue their education in graduate and professional degree programs.
If you graduate with a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting and have taken the appropriate electives, you are qualified to sit for the CPA exam in the State of ÁùºÏ±¦µä. Please note that additional education is required beyond a bachelor's degree with a major in accounting to become a licensed CPA.
