Summary

Terrance Hubert has extensive correctional experience retiring as an associate warden from ÁùºÏ±¦µä's Department of Corrections. His prison career provided opportunity to work with male and female prisoners in a variety of institutional and community-based settings including the Southern ÁùºÏ±¦µä Correction Center and the Southern ÁùºÏ±¦µä Restitution Center in Las Vegas and the Women's Prison and the Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä Correctional Center in Carson City. Terrance, along with Warden Charles Wolff, were tasked to open the Lovelock Correctional Center in 1995. He retired from the ÁùºÏ±¦µä State Prison in 2002, where he briefly resided in a cottage as a UNLV graduate research assistant with his wife Bonnie.

Terrance has been involved with justice-challenged veterans presenting "Justice Involved Veterans" at the 2008 National GAINES Center National Conference as the Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans of America's Incarcerated Veterans Committee. Terrance also sits on the Board of Directors of the RidgeHouse where he was recognized by Reno's Human Services Network as Board Member of the Year as the RidgeHouse President in 2009. RidgeHouse provides transitional residential and outpatient services for offenders from prison and jail. He was recognized as the 2009 Veteran Advocate of the Year by VVA Region 9 for AB 87 Veteran Court Legislation effort. Terrance sits as a Commissioner on the Governor's Incarcerated Veterans Reintegration Council and the ÁùºÏ±¦µä Community Re-Entry Task Force. He also is a tour guide and Board member of the ÁùºÏ±¦µä State Prison Preservation Society.
