Summary
Yani Dickens is a ÁùºÏ±¦µä licensed psychologist with sport psychology consultant certification from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). He has worked for Counseling Services since 2008. As the director of training at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno Counseling Services, he organizes supervision, training, and education for one of the largest mental health training programs in ÁùºÏ±¦µä. As the associate director, he consults the Counseling Services leadership team on internal and external operations. Yani grew up in Reno, completed his bachelors at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, and completed his masters and Ph.D. at UNLV. He recently completed his executive master of business administration (MBA) at University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno. Yani considers himself a generalist with areas of specialty including sport psychology consulting with competitive and collegiate athletes, eating disorders prevention and treatment, and he has interests in diversity as well as applying Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapies to stress, anxiety, depression, eating and personality disorders. Yani helps individuals, groups, and organizations improve their lives and their performance by providing evidence-based skills and support to obtain meaningful personal goals.
