Honor Court
The court, dedicated in September 1997, boasts a gazebo and running fountain, benches, trails and gardens in an intimate, park-like enclave just inside the main campus entrance at Ninth and Center Streets. Sierra white granite pillars and a tall obelisk feature the names of top students, staff, faculty and donors who have left indelible marks at the University. Names are added annually, with additional space for 70 years of names and accomplishment. Sculptor Johannes Schwartlander designed the court with a San Francisco architectural firm. Set at the southwest corner of the Quad, between historic Morrill Hall and the Clark Administration Building, the court was built with the help of donated materials and labor from local contractors.
