University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno’s Dance Marathon chapter was recently awarded and recognized at The Stars of ÁùºÏ±¦µä Service Awards ceremony for the organization’s philanthropic efforts in the Reno community. The University's Dance Marathon received the high honor of winning silver in the Collegiate Community Leadership category this year.
The Stars of ÁùºÏ±¦µä Service Awards and ceremony celebrates individuals and organizations that give back to the state of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, making it a better place to live. The Governor of the ÁùºÏ±¦µä and ÁùºÏ±¦µä Volunteers host the event to create a memorable experience for those who engage and support volunteering and service efforts.
“We are honored to receive this award this year,” Ariana Boorboor, Executive Director of the University's Dance Marathon, said. “Our organization is dedicated to engaging our wider university and Reno community to fundraise for Renown Hospital, which is very near and dear to our hearts. This recognition for our hard work over the last almost three years is very rewarding.”
