Update on recent appointments The University has made several important appointments this month, and I wish to share some of them with you. I am delighted to welcome Zeva Edmondson, Dr. Louisa Hope-Weeks and Andrew Clinger to The Wolf Pack Family.

Dear Wolf Pack Family,

The University has made several important appointments this month, and I wish to share some of them with you. I am delighted to welcome Zeva Edmondson, Dr. Louisa Hope-Weeks and Andrew Clinger to The Wolf Pack Family. Their breadth of experience, in a wide variety of roles, will bring valued contributions in advancing the purposes of our institutional mission.

Equal Opportunity and Title IX

Zeva Edmondson has been appointed Director of Title IX. Zeva has extensive experience in leading, monitoring and managing university compliance with Title IX programming. She joins us from the University of North Texas where she has been the Title IX Coordinator since 2021. She has also served as Title IX Coordinator at Tennessee Tech University, and was Executive Director at Stewart-Marchman-ACT in Daytona Beach, Fla., where she managed administrative and operational components of the Rape Crisis Center. Zeva was the Director of the Victim Service Center of Central Florida and was a Captain in charge of the Support Services Bureau of the Vanderbilt University Police. Prior to these positions, Zeva was a Deputy Sheriff with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office in Orlando, Fla. for more than 20 years. She will begin at the University on June 19.

College of Science

Dr. Louisa Hope-Weeks has been appointed the Dean of the College of Science. Louisa brings a stellar record as a scholar, researcher and administrator to our University. She has held the position of Associate Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Fellowships at Texas Tech University since 2020. She has been a member of the faculty at Texas Tech since 2004, where she also served as Department Chair of Chemistry and Biochemistry and Associate Dean of Research. Her research interests in sol-gel chemistry, porous material for heterogeneous catalysis and synthesis of energetic materials has garnered extensive funding throughout her career at Texas Tech. Louisa will begin at the University on Aug. 1.

I would like take a moment to thank Katherine McCall for serving as Interim Dean for the College of Science since January 2021. Dr. McCall’s dedication and commitment to this role and the College of Science exemplifies The Wolf Pack Way. She will continue in the interim role until Dr. Hope-Weeks starts in August.

Division of Administration and Finance

Andrew Clinger has been appointed Vice President for Administration and Finance. Andrew has an outstanding background in finance and administration practice, having served in a number of key roles managing governmental organizations at the local and state level. He has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the ÁùºÏ±¦µä System of Higher Education since 2018, where he led the development of financial and business strategies to support campus and system-wide goals. He has extensive experience at the state level, having served as the Director and Chief of the Budget Division for the State of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Department of Administration from 2006-2011, and from 2011-2016, he was the City of Reno’s City Manager. He also worked in the State of ÁùºÏ±¦µä’s Office of the Governor as a senior advisor from 2016-2018. Andrew will begin at the University on June 30.

I would also like to sincerely thank Vic Redding for serving the past six years as Vice President for Administration and Finance and his more than 22 years of service to the ÁùºÏ±¦µä System of Higher Education. Vic will retire at the end of the fiscal year and we wish him all the best as he transitions into this next, and well-deserved, chapter of his journey.
