TEDxReno has announced the return of its internationally recognized daylong speaker series. The event returns to the esteemed University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, Lawlor Events Center on April 6, featuring live talks and entertainment performances. This partnership signals a commitment to nurturing local talent and provides an opportunity to engage and inspire over 2,500 attendees.
The independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature local voices and TED Talks videos under the theme of DISRUPTION. The accomplished line-up of speakers will bring together the audience as one while conveying how they can be their own instruments of positive change.
"We're excited about this year's speaker submissions and look forward to the expertise they will bring to our stage and the TEDxReno and audiences around the world," said event organizer Kaya Stanley.
TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. These events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.

Student involvement
One unique aspect of TEDxReno is its dedication to student involvement. Acknowledging the importance of nurturing tomorrow's thought leaders, the event has subsidized a special student section in the audience, offering students discounted $25 tickets.
