Artown on the Quad: Four performances happening in July on the University’s campus

Free performances open to the public

Artown, in partnership with the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno, will host four performances on the University Quad on Tuesday evenings during the month of July. The events are sponsored by the University and The Edna B. and Bruno Benna Foundation.

Admission is free and all performances are open to the public. Seating will open at 5 p.m., with the performances beginning at 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Free parking is available in the Brian Whalen Garage (only after 5 p.m.) for each show.

Performances include:

July 5

Reno’s Downtown Dance Collective will perform “,” a dance tour focused specifically on certain sites around the University’s Quad.

July 12

University alumna Ruth Lenz, the concertmaster violist from the Reno Philharmonic and the Reno Chamber Orchestra, and a member of the Classical Tahoe Orchestra, will perform “.”

July 19

University alumnus and internationally recognized, low woodwind artist,  will perform. The event will include free food and beverage.

Locally known and well-traveled artist and saxophonist and University alumnus,,will perform.

Artown is a nonprofit organization that gains much of its support from sponsors, foundations and individual donors. Its mission is not only to uplift local artists from the Reno community but also to encourage creative participation to highlight the finest multidisciplinary arts in Northern ÁùºÏ±¦µä.
