Apex Concerts and the Performing Arts Series in the School of the Arts at the University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno present Johann Sebastian Bach’s complete Brandenburg Concertos, performed by the renowned Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
On Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m. the stage of Nightingale Concert Hall will welcome an all-star line-up of 20 musicians from the multi-generational international roster of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, performing Bach’s complete Brandenburg Concertos. Widely regarded as the greatest examples of Baroque instrumental music, these six masterpieces unfailingly provide fulfillment for music lovers of all backgrounds, and are a perfect vehicle to inspire strength at year’s end and a vision for the brightest future.
“This is a rare and unusual opportunity to hear these Baroque masterpieces performed in their entirety, by some of the world’s finest musicians on our own Nightingale stage. It is a not-to-be-missed musical marathon,” Hyeyeon Park, Artistic Co-Director of Apex Concerts said.
The Dec. 9 performance is part of a national tour that will visit several of the nation’s most prestigious concert halls, including New York’s Alice Tully Hall. The University of ÁùºÏ±¦µä, Reno’s own Professor of Music Dmitri Atapine, is on the national tour and will perform during the concert in Reno.
