Food Preservation Program will be offering free workshops on the dehydration of seasonal fruits and vegetables, and preserving tomato-based products and soft spreads Jan. 22-29.

“These workshops will provide information on water-bath canning, equipment and elevation, as well as demonstrate the process of canning soft spreads and tomato-based products, and dehydrating fruits and vegetables,” said Program Officer Elizabeth Mapula, with Extension.

There are four workshops: dehydration of fruits, preserving tomato products, preserving soft spreads and dehydration of vegetables. Each workshop is free to attend, but pre-registration is required. All workshops will be held at the Extension office at 8050 Paradise Road, Suite 100 in Las Vegas.
